And here we are with another interview as this time Mikehh sat down for a chat with Excite from our Enemy Territory division and here is all they spoke about.

Can you please introduce yourself?

My name is Antwan van Houdt, aka Excite. I am 17 years old and I currently live in the Netherlands. I love tinkering around with stuff and I am a full-time geek. Most of my time is spent on the computer and next to playing games is spent on software engineering. I am the creator of BlackFire, an unofficial Xfire client for Mac OS and I am proud to say that the whole board of directors of Xfire INC. is using my app. This should sum up things pretty well.

How did you choose your nickname?

Back when I was still new to ET Pro I played under the nicknames 'JAB' 'Lycos' and 'Excite'. It was a bit random really.. after a while I just kept the nickname Excite and it stayed like that. There was no real thought behind it.

What do you think is the main reason you got involved with ET?

I don't really know a game where you get the same amount of retarded shit that you get in ET. I loved the dumb stuff we did on the jaymod server, fooling around with an Anti tank gun, or a car or anything really. Started playing ETPro about 2.5 years ago.

What do you find so interesting about ET?

A clear example would be the difference between ET or the COD series. In COD it basically is who has the best campspot. you get raped and its over. In ET, however, you have the chance to turn around and return some damage. For me this is far more satisfying than getting raped and dying even though it does not mean I will kill the guy that is raping me.

What is the most important thing for any gamer to become part of a team?

Losing his ego and stop trying to build something on his own. One of the main things I see in clans (not so much in teams in ET) is the backstabbing of those kids. They are in a clan and within a week or 2 they start their own clan with a few other members. Their new clan then fails within a few days and then they start begging

What can you tell us about Decerto Enemy Territory team, can you describe your team mates?

I don't know what I should say, they are just regular guys and I like hanging out with them on TS. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that the lineup is usually off by one guy.

What needs to be improved regarding the game and the communitty?

The hostility, the fragmentation. It is too hard for new players to join and new players are not greeted as well as one could hope for. As for the hostility I think everyone knows what I am talking about.

What are your future goals within the team and outside of it?

I think this is mostly the same for all of us.. trying to reach the best we possibly can.

Who do you think is the best ET player and why?

I don't really think there is a 'the best', it's like saying that its easier to snipe with a luger than with a K43. I really liked azatej because of his aim.
