The groups have been drawn for the upcoming DreamHack Summer 2012 tournament, which features eight teams and a 100,000 SEK prize purse.
The summer edition of DreamHack kicks off this weekend in Jönköping and once again features a Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament.
Six of the eight teams participating in the tournaments are known and the groups have now been drawn, only waiting for the BYOC qualifier to finish in order to know the last teams for the tournament.
Teams will play each other once in a best-of-one map format and the top two placed teams in the groups will advance to the single-elimination playoffs, where best-of-three maps will be played to determine the winner.
Maps, both for the group stage, but also for the playoffs, will be determined by the veto method which means each team can eliminate two maps entirely.
The BYOC qualifier will be the first action at DreamHack Summer, taking place on the first day of the Swedish event. As earlier mentioned, the qualifier will find two teams for the main tournament. The qualifier will be played best-of-one map in the group stage, as well as in the single-elimination bracket.
Maps are preset for the group stage, but once reaching the playoffs, teams will use the veto method to determined the map to be played.

1. 50,000 SEK ( $7,268 )
2. 25,000 SEK ( $3,634 )
